The Message from Our President page has been updated with Alan’s latest letter.
There is an introduction to 2008 and a notice about the April and May Joint Rallies with Top-O-Texas and Texas Plains. I’m starting this article so that anyone that wants to can comment here on the discussions about maybe (this has not even been proposed yet; only discussions) consolidating with other Units.

Glad to see you folks have a web site - it is a great tool to get news out fast. We have news too!
Texas Highland Lakes and North Texas Units will be hosting the Texas State Vintage A/S Rally in Montgomery, TX at a premier RV park,(LakeConroe/HoustonNorth KOA Feb 6-10,2008. We will be showcasing vintage rigs but ALL Airstream owners are invited to attend. Seminars on maintenance, catered meals, music and fun! The annual business meeting of the West Texas Unit of WBCCI will be held Saturday, October 20, at the October rally in Lubbock, Texas. Agenda items include the report of the nominating committee and the election of new officers. For those who wish to attend without their RV, there is a motel adjacent to the Loop 289 RV Park. Elected officers will be installed at the December 1 Installation Dinner/Christmas Party.

The West Texas Unit of the Wally Byam Caravan Club — the Airstream RV Owner’s Association, has just got a new home on the internet!
The new website features: News and announcements, Rallies and events schedules, a unit calendar, a listing of current officers, an active committee list, a link to member tools that include email accounts and web-based calendars and more, and membership information.
